Complying with U. S. Export Controls (March 20-21, 2018)
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) will be leading this two-day program to provide an in-depth examination of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Th e program will cover the information exporters need to know to comply with U.S. export control requirements on commercial goods. The seminar will focu s on the items and activities which are subject to the EAR; steps to take t o determine the export licensing requirements for your item; the way to det ermine your export control classification number (ECCN); instances in which you can export or reexport without applying for a license; export clearanc e procedures and record keeping requirements; and practical examples in app lying this information. Presenters will conduct "hands-on" exercises to pre pare you to apply the regulations to your company's export activities. This program is well suited for those who need a comprehensive understanding of their obligations under the EAR.
About the Instructors
The instruc tors are experienced export specialists and enforcement personnel from BIS' s field offices and other agencies. The instructors will be available throu ghout the seminar to answer your questions on how the export regulations af fect the export activities of your organization or client.
